After a career as a Scientific Officer at Bidston Observatory, where oceanography and meteorology were the types of work in which I was involved, – it was time for a change when I retired!
So I took up watercolour painting, and, over the years, I have successfully tried other mediums too.
Now, I take a class in watercolour as a volunteer for AGE UK, and also at a nearby Nursing Home, all of which are very rewarding pastimes for me.
I love to paint animals, portraits, and scenery, and have done some commissioned works in my favourite mediums.
The Elephant picture, and the portrait, are in pastel, and the snow scene is in watercolour, forming a sample of my work.
