I work in several media, but mainly in ink and watercolour for my favourite subjects, which are cartoons and which I have drawn all my life.
Mainly self-taught, cartoon-wise, but attended the Laird School of Art for life classes, and the Technical College for sculpture.
I like to hear people laughing at my cartoons, but when they laugh at my serious paintings it worries me!
I have been a member of Irby Artists since 2000 , and have held the position of Chairman since 2004.
Having suffered from ill health most of my life, I have learnt not to take life too seriously. I have a love of jokes, and I think of my cartoons as telling jokes in pictures.
