I attended an oil painting class back in the early 1970’s for about 18 months and then our 2nd child came along and the paints were put away never to be used again.

Then in 2004 I accidentally came across Julie McLean in Gallery 2000 offering advice and guidance to artists. Julie persuaded me to join one of her classes and I started in watercolour, progressing to acrylics and eventually also, back to oils.

I have attended Julie’s classes on a weekly basis ever since and have attended many workshops and demonstrations by top artists such as Robert Brindley and David Bellamy, which Julie arranges at the Sandpiper Studio at Foxes Stables in Ledsham.

I am a member of Irby Artists Association, Heswall Artists Association and the Grosvenor Art Society and exhibit at all 3 plus the Annual Rotary Exhibition.
