I always had an interest in art at school but had to drop the subject when I decided to concentrate on the sciences. I did however continue to sketch as a hobby.
When I retired I took up watercolours and then oils. I have been a member of Irby Artists’ Association for many years, serving on the committee and as treasurer for a while.
I enjoy working with watercolours, oils and with graphite pencils. Lately I have developed a particular interest in portraiture, working mainly with pencils or oils.
