Some good news that might be of interest to you, from Joe McGillivray at West Kirby Arts Group (WKAG). All related matters to Joe please.
Hi Everyone,
After 14 months I’m really pleases to let you know that I intend to restart our West Kirby Art Group Classes!
I’m going to run three art classes on a Monday – starting Monday 7th June so I’m reducing my teaching to one day and this means that I won’t be running classes for Figure Drawing. The classes are as follows:
Still Life Drawing and Painting 10 – 12pm
Painting Challenge 1 – 3pm
Painting Techniques and Ideas 4 – 6 pm
The Art Centre has received Arts Council funding to ensure that the premises meet the highest COVID prevention standards.
I would be very grateful if you could let me know which class you would like to attend – providing me with a first and second preference would be especially helpful.
Many thanks and all the best,
Joe

News Item 16 Members enjoyed an excellent demonstration on zoom by professional artist and tutor Mark Warner. The finished painting will be on sale on his website –https://www.brushmark.co.uk.

News Item Our facebook page has changed and is now https://www.facebook.com/groups/irbyartistsassociation It will be monitored by Barbara Meynell and used initially to publicise the online Spring Exhibition. Please join by clicking on the link. Although the old page (named irby artists) is still on facebook, it was set to private and was unmonitored, so noone could join, post or participate in discussion. Anyone can join the new group as it is public, but participant approval is switched on. This means that Barbara will review people before they post or comment for the first time. In this way we will raise the profile of the group and many more people will know about our online exhibition by receiving information in their feed. They will then share from their page…
Dont forget to join the new group page, and share!
News Item On Saturday 24th April Mark Warner is demonstrating an Acrylic Seascape painting online between 10.30 and 12.30. Zoom joining details will be sent out to members by email.
